Sleep Apnea

Sleep Apnea can be responsible for a number of problems. One of the most dramatic is that of stroke. Men are more than 3 times likely to have a stroke if they have bad sleep apnea than if they had no sleep apnea or very light sleep apnea.
Men develop sleep apnea at a lower age than females so they go untreated for longer periods of time. This explains the male issue of sleep apnea and stroke.
Sleep apnea is also associated with high blood pressure, heart attack, irregular heartbeats and heart failure. There is also a relationship between diabetes and obesity.
